Can I take the car to the car wash and walk because it's very close?
Sure, you can walk home, but that won't exactly count as taking the car for a ride, will it?
You can definitely walk back if the car wash is close, but the car itself won’t enjoy the trip. If someone else drives the car there, that’s fine. Otherwise, walking defeats the purpose of moving a heavy metal box. Your feet won't clean the vehicle or burn fuel – they just get you there on foot. So yes, you can walk, but your car can’t.
